To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We will send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
What does the transaction fee cover?
By electing to cover the transaction fees, 100% of your donation goes to Climate Central's mission, and you fully cover the costs associated with processing an online gift. The fee covers the assessment per transaction by our gift processing software (a Classy transaction fee) and payment processor fees established by the credit card companies, which vary by company. The lowest transaction fees are associated with bank transfer payments (ACH). No additional fees are added by Climate Central.
May I contribute in honor of or in memory of someone?
Yes! You can make a gift to Climate Central in honor of or in memory of someone special through our secure online form. Follow the prompts and select “Dedicate your Donation.” You will have the option to send a notification to the honoree via email.
